Face Painting

Today the local preschool had some activities during Matthew Meal's...a free meal provided for the community. They had face painting, crafts, and an open house for the preschool. Aleigha wanted to have her face painted, but she was shy to sit on the chair alone. Grandma Suzie sat with Aleigha while she had her face painted.

Aleigha wanted a butterfly...then later she wanted another painting on her other cheek.

Happy Birthday, Taylor!

Today we prepared ourselves for Taylor's birthday party...it was a Hawaiian theme. Whittney had picked out some fancy nails, so the girls wore them to the party!

Whittney liked having the pretty nails.

Taylor, Aleigha, and Delaney are ready for some fun! They have snack mix in their cups! Yummy!

Joe, or as Taylor calls him, "Honey" was fixing the drink holder...it was a little deflated.

Olivia and Whittney trying out the Limbo!

Gavin and Whittney are getting low!

The kids all had a chance to dig in the sand and collect goodies from this pool. It was a fabulous idea!

Whittney and Olivia digging for treasures.

Aleigha was looking over her treasures! She was excited about her candy and four pairs of sunglasses.

Joe and Amanda made octopus hot dogs! They were so fun.

Amanda also made Taylor's birthday cake. Jackson and Aleigha are watching as Taylor gets ready to blow out her candles.

Opening gifts...

Taylor was thrilled to open an Ariel Barbie doll. Aunt Marty is helping her open it up!

Aleigha and Uncle Jim are playing! He would throw her up and she would giggle and giggle. Aleigha kept wanting Uncle Jim to do it more...Uncle Jim was probably wore out when she was finished!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY TAYLOR!

Fun with Family

After church today, Aleigha went outside to play...with the garden tools. Aunt Barb thought she was a riot.

We went to Grandpa Pat and Grandma Suzie's for lunch with the family before our visitors left for home. We put candles on the leftover cake from last night and sang happy birthday again! Grandpa, Grandma, and Grandma Till came over too...you can see Grandma Till on the right side.

Grandpa Pat and Aleigha are giggling...she is a character.

Aunt Barb was taking a picture of me...while I took a picture of her...

The kids were talking during lunch about which body part of Grandpa Pat they were going to eat. Whittney wanted an eye, while Gavin and Olivia wanted his hair. They liked picking stuff off the cake to eat.

Oliver and Aunt Mary...He is looked a little sleepy! Maybe he will nap on the way home.

Oliver is on the front porch...with a pink headband...

Grandpa Pat and Evelyn...

Olivia...

They whole crew before they left for home! Grandma is sitting on the arm rest of the glider. Yes...she got up there herself. As you can tell, everyone was smiling big!

Surprise Happy Birthday, Grandpa Pat!

Today we had a surprise birthday party for Grandpa Pat! We got to Aunt Megan's around 11AM and started preparing the food...okay, the kids watched "Monsters Versus Aliens" and played. Some company arrived from Ohio...and the other guests started arriving around 5:30PM. Here is Aubrey...waiting for Grandpa and Grandma to arrive! What a cutie!

Here is the cake!

Grandpa Pat thought he was going to prom with Grandma Suzie. Aunt Megan called him just before 6PM and asked him to bring Grandma Great over for supper. He thought he was just dropping her off and heading to prom...

Priceless look!

He saw his 97 year old mother and realized that maybe he wasn't going to prom... She arrived today with Aunt Barb, Aunt Mary, Erin, and Oliver!

All ready for prom (minus dad's tie)!

Erin was helping Uncle Andy feed Aubrey! She is getting practice for her new baby due in September!

Evelyn and Erin were having a VERY serious conversation about babies. Evelyn wanted to know why Erin was having a baby. Erin told her because she wanted one. Evelyn said she wanted one too, but her mom said, "No." Kids are so honest and priceless!

Grandpa Pat blowing out his candles...with a little help!

Aleigha (with cake on her face) and Erin...

Evelyn and Aunt Barb...

Now Aleigha is having some baby talk time with Erin. She wanted to touch the baby...

The kids helped Grandpa Pat open his presents! Of course, he loved all of the help.

Aleigha is eating cake with Aunt Barb...black frosting is the answer (I know...you were wondering how she got the fun colored tongue).

Dad with one of his new beverages...Wicked Ale.

Gavin with Grandpa Pat's new umbrella...Purdue colors...

Grandma Suzie, Aubrey, and Aleigha!

Two Grandma Greats!

The Grandmas were laughing as they were watching Aleigha play babies with Uncle Andy. She kept telling them not to watch...

Aleigha is covering up Uncle Andy...so he can sleep!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA PAT! WE HOPE YOU HAD A FUN TIME AT THE PARTY...WE DID! ALSO, THANKS TO ALL OF THE GUESTS AT THE PARTY.

We enjoyed having Grandma Great, Aunt Mary, Aunt Barb, Erin, and Oliver with us for the weekend! Thank you for making the trip for the party!

Talent Show

Today there was a talent show at the kids' school. Whittney and her class performed "We Are Going On A Bear Hunt." It was adorable. The girls wore brown and had a bear hat. Here are the girls in Whittney's class.

Here they are...swimming through the Jello River...

Our nephew, Alex, sang the song, "Gitchie Gitchie Goo, Baby I Love You."

Whittney's class...the boys were the hunters on a bear hunt.
