Trick or Treat Round 2...

After school, we got the kids ready and headed over to visit Grandpa and Grandma before the Halloween party. Grandpa enjoyed Aleigha's costume.

Of course we had to take off the costume to eat a snack...thanks Grandma!


Grandpa Great had just been taken back to the hospital, so the family gathered for a picture! Taylor (Aunt Jo's) is a unicorn, Mommy (not in costume), Aleigha, Whittney, Gavin, Jackson (Amber's oldest...a turtle), Evelyn, Delaney (Amber's youngest...a rabbit), and Olivia.

Grandma Great stopped at the party on her way home from the hospital...visiting Grandpa Great. The party was a community one. There were many people there, but not as many as usual.

Aleigha was a dancing maniac. She would run around...then stop and dance. She enjoyed the glow necklace (from Grandpa Pat and Grandma Suzie last night)...and don't forget the candy! We took the costume off so it would not get dirty from the candy!

There was a costume judging contest. Aleigha won the cutest for her age group and Jackson won the most original for his age group. All of the kids had a wonderful time and did not want to leave when it was time!

Trick or Treat...Round 1

Trick or Treating at Grandma Till's. The girls enjoyed the bag of candy corn she gave them to share with the family! Aleigha was a giraffe (with a pink bow on her head). Whittney was a princess!

We visited Great Great Anna Mae (she is Grandma Till's aunt) at the nursing home. She enjoyed us visiting and showed us around so other people could see the kids. As you can see, Gavin was Spiderman...for the third year in a row...and it is the same costume! When is this kid going to gain some weight??? We did pass the suit on after the celebrations this year!

We met up with Aunt Megan, Olivia, and Evelyn at Grandpa Pat and Grandma Suzie's house. Because so many people we say this afternoon thought Aleigha was a cow or some other animal, we changed her costume into a ladybug! Evelyn was a cheerleader. Here the girls are looking in their bags to see what kind of goodies they got.

Uncle Jared and Aunt Janalle

Aunt Janalle got married October 19. We now have an Uncle Jared!! Welcome to the family, Uncle Jared!

Uncle Jared's sister, Maribeth, and mom, Suzie, flew to make it to the wedding. Grandpa and Grandma were there too.

We can't wait to see Uncle Jared and Aunt Janalle in December. They will be visiting their families and friends...and we will help them celebrate their wedding with a reception!

Enjoying the Family

We decided to make cookies for Whittney to take for her snack at school tomorrow. Gavin wanted to help, but so did Aleigha...what helpers!

Whittney and Gavin enjoyed licking the beaters when we were finished! We made peanut butter cookies and then a batch of chocolate chip cookies.

Aleigha needed something to lick since Gavin and Whittney had the beaters.

After making cookies, we went over the Uncle Jasen and Aunt Chasta's. Aleigha enjoyed holding the boys...as usual!!

Whittney was attached to Brendan today...she held him the most. She was content just sitting on the couch holding him. We talked about his small hands, feet, fingers, and toes.Gavin was too busy playing with Alex and Chase to notice the babies...

Halloween Cards

Grandpa Tharen and Grandma Shirley (they asked the kids if they could be their grandparents because they enjoy the kids so much...We only see them at a local resturant.) sent all three children their very own Halloween cards with money inside. They were so excited to get a card in the mail and even more excited that the card held money. They put the money right in their piggy banks!

Whittney had put something in her back pocket. The dog thought he needed to check it out! It was rather funny. Whittney didn't seem to mind!

Gavin did not go with us...He only had a half day at school and went home with a friend. They went to the movies and then he spent the night! It was his first sleepover, since he had his cecostomy...where he had to do his flush while he was there. It went very well! Dad went hunting and then hung out with Grandpa.

This week has been...what word should we use...overwhelming for dad...Mom went to school and didn't feel well Monday. Dad has been taking care of the kids after school each day with little help from mom. She took three days off work...hoping to get better. Today marks day 5 of the bug. The whole family hopes things get back to normal soon!

Daddy took the kids over to Grandpa and Grandma's today after the kids all had a snack, homework was finished, and Gavin did his flush. They enjoyed playing in the garden and eating supper there! Mommy was still confined to the bed to rest and try to get over this bug...

Grandpa and Grandma Great's New Puppy

Aleigha, Whittney, and Mommy went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Great. They just got a new puppy...Bruno! Aleigha just LOVED him...

Once Gavin was home from the hospital, the whole family went over again to see Bruno, Grandpa Great, and Grandma Great.

Gavin made a toy and brought it for Bruno to play with...a wooden spoon, rubber band, and a bouncy ball. In this picture, Aleigha is upset because Whittney is holding Bruno and she is not!

Grandpa Great had his pace maker put back in on Monday. He is doing great and is home!!!

Waiting for the doctor to come, Gavin found some popcorn from the nurse's station. He added his crackers to it to make a little chex mix.

Aunt Megan brought these fuzzy noodles...Mommy made a zebra, tiger, crown, and tie. We thought Gavin should wear the tie to show the doctor, but Gavin didn't want to. Here he is posing for the camera.

Gavin was looking in the mirror and noticed that he looked stout. He asked me to take a picture...this may be the only time in his life he is stout!

Just before we left the hospital, Gavin took off his iv with the nurse. It was amusing!!
