Cleaning Out Cupboards

Aleigha decided to empty the cupboards again today...she loves to reorganize things and make herself busy...

Happy Birthday, Brooke!

I met Aunt Megan, Olivia, and Whittney at the rollerskating rink. The girls had a birthday party for a friend of theirs. Brooke went to the same day care as Olivia for several years (before they started school) and is currently in Whittney's kindergarten class. Brooke, Whittney, Olivia, were having fun...with two girls in Brooke and Whittney's class.

Whittney and Brooke...

Cousin Love

Last night after Evelyn's birthday party, Whittney and Gavin stayed the night with Olivia. Evelyn came home with us and spent the night with Aleigha. This morning they were waiting for breakfast, talking, and giggling.

Happy Birthday, Evelyn!

Today we went to Evelyn's birthday party. Of course, the kids were so excited to go. They were asking periodically all day how much time until the party.

There were kids EVERYWHERE! Fifteen kids total...14 girls and 1 boy.

CHEESE! Aleigha and Taylor had so much fun!

The girls were keeping themselves busy in the art supplies. Aleigha, Taylor, Olivia, and Whittney.

Abby and Gavin were on the elliptical. They had a goal to burn off 300 calories. They worked well as a team.

Aleigha was anxious to watch Evelyn open her presents! She had a front row seat!

Evelyn requested a Hello Kitty party. The guests were asked to wear Hello Kitty attire. Evelyn's cousin, Emily, wrote the birthday wish on the easel.

Gavin and Whittney decorated the package while Aleigha was taking her nap today. It had drawings, ribbon, and purple fuzzies.

Eveyln opened her gift from us! Aleigha was so excited about the gift!

Aleigha was playing with one of Evelyn's dolls...Peek-a-boo!

Gavin was not willing to stop on the elliptical to watch Evelyn open her presents...he had to reach their goal of 300 calories. We made him stop because his face was all red and he was sweating...and he was only up to 277.3 calories.

Uncle Grant and Daddy held the pinata while the kids pulled strings to get the candy out.

The guys were shaking the pinata so hard the pinata fell off and hit the kids in the head...good thing it wasn't too hard. As you can tell, Taylor and Aleigha are in the background laughing. They think this is so much fun!

The kids are trying to get as much candy as they can...and I know Gavin, Whittney, and Aleigha did not need any. But...candy is candy!

Evelyn is ready to blow out the candles! Aunt Megan made the Hello Kitty cake.

Whittney thinks she needs a piece of candy...this is her bag of goodies from the pinata!

Uncle Grant was in charge of serving the ice cream! He did a great job...

To add some extra fun to the party, we had Uncle Grant eat his piece of cake without silverware. Hidden inside the cake are plastic Hello Kitty rings...can he find them?

He found one ring...

Olivia helps Uncle Grant eat all of the cake...by pushing his head down a little more.

Uncle Grant thought Olivia needed some cake smeared on her head! She was less than impressed.

Evelyn's cousin, Emily, helped dress the girls up to be judged...Taylor, Aleigha, Olivia, Hannah, Katie, and Evelyn. Olivia is posing just like her big cousins taught her...

Aleigha and Evelyn look like sweet princesses!

Whittney and Olivia...striking a pose!

A Picnic Lunch

This morning the kids were having fun building a house. They pulled the foot stool over to enclose an area just the right size for the three of them to lay down in the living room. Even Max couldn't resist the fun!

They even had a tray (cutting board) and drinks...just in case they got thirsty in their "house."

They decided to have lunch in their "house." It was a wonderful sibling bonding day!

Reading Fun!

After church today, while I was making lunch, this is what the kids were doing...Whittney is reading Gavin and Aleigha books...while they snuggle in and listen. I think Aleigha is checking for toe jam again!

Bowling Fun

This evening we headed to a local bowling alley. We had the gutters filled so the kids could enjoy it a little more. Aleigha was having some trouble, but between Dad, Mom, Gavin and Whittney helping, it all worked out.

Whittney helped her out this time!

Being silly.

I looked over and saw that Aleigha had her socks off...checking for toe jam. She is quite a character!

Trying on dad's hat!

The evening was enjoyable...Of course Dad won...followed by Gavin, then Whittney, then Mom, and finally Aleigha.

Having Fun!

Today after basketball, Dawson came over to our house. Makenzie had two basketball games today. The boys had a fun time...as you can tell!

Whittney wanted to try it too!

The kids were upstairs playing while I was mopping the floor (on my hands and knees...that's how we do it around here). Dawson saw me and wanted to know if he could help too. Then everyone wanted to join in the fun!

Gavin and Dawson stuck with it until the floor was finished. They did have fun sliding on the floor and just being boys!

Alumni Recognized

Tonight we headed to Dad and Mom's high school for some reminiscing. Daddy's 1993 baseball team won Sectionals and Mommy's 1995 volleyball team won NECC. There was catered food and a hospitality room for the players and their families to congregate. Macy, Avery, and Whittney were enjoying some food in this picture.

Gavin, Alex, Macy, Avery, Whittney, Maddie, Joel and Dylan...we joked that we would have to rent this room when we get our friends together the next time...since our families keep expanding. The kids enjoyed playing together.

There were six volleyball players in attendance...Mommy, Nikki, Jamie, and Brea are in this picture. There were many returning baseball players, but we didn't get a picture.

Maddie, Whittney, and Avery had fun playing cheerleader in the hospitality room. Maddie and Whittney were doing stunts! It was entertaining!

Thank you to all of the people who helped put this evening together! It was FABULOUS!

Q and U Wedding

Today at school, Whittney attended a wedding for the letters Q and U...since they are seen so often together. The wedding was for kindergarten students only. The girls were asked to dress up as queens and the boys were asked to be quarterbacks. Whittney wanted to wear her flowergirl dress from this summer. We put her hair in foam rollers last night and she looked great as she headed off to school! She said it was a fun wedding!

She feels so fancy when her hair is curly. She danced in front of the mirror all morning.

Calling Grandma

Aleigha LOVES to use the telephone. She uses the stool to climb up on top of the wooden trash can. Then she can reach the phone. Today, she was ready to get in the bath tub adn decided she wanted to call Grandma. So she climbed up and we helped her push the buttons to give Grandma a call.

Family

This evening, Uncle Andy, Aunt Holly, and Aubrey came over. Aunt Holly went to get her hair cut so Uncle Andy and Aubrey stayed at our house. Grandpa Pat and Grandma Suzie also came over to see Uncle Andy and Aubrey. As you can see, everyone is snuggling (while they wait for supper to get finished).

Aubrey is having her supper...

Grandma Suzie is loving her time with Aubrey...while she naps.

Grandma found a slushie maker and thought we would like to use it. The kids are making Dr. Pepper slushies for dessert!

Uncle Andy and Gavin were playing the Wii while the girls helped me change Aubrey's diaper and put on her pajamas. As you can tell, we had more help than we knew what to do with.
